Ricky Nelson Loveridge - Online Memorial Website

I went school with this brother, Ricky was a one off a kind . No1 like him,  always laughing and joking no matter what,  he lit up any room he walked into , a real man too brave too courageous for his own good.. Ricky had no fear , he was a year younger than me in churchmead and I spent 2 years with him at school and would bump into him once we left school and he was always on the hustle and still loving life. Never seen him sad or moan. Ricky will be missed always and he had more fun in his short life than most have in there whole life even tho they are now in the late 50s 60s 70s. Ricky could get on with anyone no matter what colour or background they were from,  if he was your mate that's it he was ur mate..  a truly amazing guy a special man no one can replace him. Ricky is a legend and will always be remembered as s legend .. miss him in a huge way. 

To be honest I thought he was talking bull shit regards what he did and the antics he got up to, until I saw him on the BBC news. 

 

he certainly had charm and I will never forget that Barbados holiday ever  

just wanoted to say Hiya to all Ricky's friends and family and share my brief encounter with Ricky when I was on holiday in Barbados many years ago now poss year 2000 I was about 24 at the time, I'm 46 now lol. 

i was sitting at a bar when this lad comes up to me and says alright mate blar blar, what do you do for a living?? I explained what I did and he replied "works for horses, works for horses lol. 

anyway, one afternoon he came to me and asked if I'd like to join him and head into town with a couple of local lads he had collered, and drove to some ghetto to pick up some white stuff. 

id never been so scared in all my life, to say I was out of my comfort zone is an understatemen. when we arrived there were these yardy gangsters with AKs and all sorts upon there shoulders, we collected the powder and off we went back to this shanty wooden house that these 2 black lads lived in. 

by the time id got back to the hotel, my bird at the time was frantic with worry. 
Anyway both my mrs and I took a few lines of this coke, it was so fucking strong, we couldn't put one foot in front of they other and we never made it to the night club (harbour lights) 
we were supposed to be going to. 

As I say I never knew him, just a brief encounter, but I'll never forget him, and have told this story to many people. 

a week later after my holiday I saw him on the BBC news regards the court break out.
