Firstly we would like to thank all those who attended Rickys funeral and for the floral tributes. it helped us to know that he was loved and respected by so many friends and family with close to a thousand people at his funeral. some of his mates couldnt be there as they were detained at her majesties pleasure (paddy/michael) and the Datchet boyz martin,Steven, womble. but Rick knows they would have been there if they could.
As i walk over to the cemetary even now nearly 4 years on i still cant believe he is gone and when his boys talk about him its like a knife in my heart.
Theres so mutch i wish i had said and done but its too late now.

Rick was our eldest son then Tom then matt
he chose to live the life of crime from about the tender age of 16 he spent time in a young offenders and graduated to prison but dont think he was a bad person because of the life he chose. people who knew him would say he was a loveable rogue. he never burgaled peoples houses. His last prison sentence was 5 years in frankland prison Co Durham where he made some good freinds Dave Amani who he spoke very highly of and said he was a good cook aswell ;-). Rick has left behind 3 boys little rick' levi and john who miss him so mutch.
Little Rick who wont be little for very long is very mutch like his dad.
Levi who i think must have chimp in him somehow can be a little b#st#rd and then so lovable.
John just goes with the flow he,s a lovely boy and i think he is gonna be a big f#cker when he gets older. I just hope Rick can see the boys now he will be so proud of them.
I was out in the front garden one day and over came PC Terry crocker he said mr loveridge can you tell your son ricky it's not a good idea to try and run me over in his granada cosworth. when you see it the windscreen is broken with a hit from my torch he said. i said he would'nt do that trying not to laugh. oh and that red subaru impreza he's got ? 42 times we have tryed to pull him over and he wont stop. oh well think it's time the gavvers got better pursuit drivers.
One morning at about 7am i heard bang bang bang i thought it was matt & tom rowing and i shouted shut up next thing i heard police dont move dont move. me and the mrs was still in bed. i sat on the bed in me boxers and in they came 12 policemen in full riot gear. i sat laughing and one gavver said what are you laughing at? i said you lot what the fuck are you dressed like that for? he said we dont know you could be dangerous. i said so could ya mum if she had a gun.
Then the time they broke out of slough court jesus what a day that was rick and smiley decided they did,nt want to be locked up anymore and so some of their mates went in the court with guns to get um out now that takes some balls the court is joined to the police station. The uk had not seen anything like this before and it was worldwide tv news.
Well it's the 8th july again six years today mate i cant beleive how quick that has gone. It still dosent hurt any less you just learn to deal with it better and hide the pain.
Well it,s been a while since i wrote anything it,s now 9 years since the boys were taken i can't beleive how time has gone bye. Martin nolan is out prison some of the others are in don,t see mutch of Rick,s mates anymore i supose they have there own lifes to lead. Rick,s three boys are becoming fine young men he would be proud of them Rick junior is so mutch like his dad in the way he looks and acts it,s unreal.
